The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) on August 02, 2025, issued a public notice inviting comments on the Draft MERC (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Related Matters) Regulations, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The regulations seek to ensure, through a commercial mechanism, that grid users do not deviate from and adhere to their schedule of drawal and injection of electricity in the interest of security and stability of the grid.
• Any comments, suggestions or objections on the draft amendment Regulations may be uploaded through 'E-Public Consultation' Tab on MERC Website, or in a hard copy addressed to 'The Secretary', Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC), 13th Floor, Centre No.1, World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai - 400 005, before 5 PM on August 23, 2025.
